What will you learn?

The programme will be offered online and cover the following 4 courses.

Aptitude

48hrs of Learning

Build Real World Websites using HTML and CSS

80hrs of Learning

JavaScript for Beginners Learn JavaScript from Scratch

60hrs of Learning

Learn Angular from Beginner to Advanced

40hrs of Learning

11 live masterclass sessions to provide mentoring support to the learners. All such sessions will be held as per Indian Standard Time (between 9 am to 5pm).

Who can participate?

Class of 2019 Engineering graduates with minimum of 60% aggregate or Current Engineering students (Expected to complete Engineering degree in 2020 and 2021). Such students should have 60% in the immediate last year of examination.

Commonwealth of Learning

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is an intergovernmental organization supporting governments and educational institutions to increase access to quality education and training leveraging the power of information and communication technologies.

Within the overall goals of learning for sustainable development, in the current strategic plan (2015-2021), COL focuses on improving the livelihoods by providing advanced ICT skills training to boys and girls in the Commonwealth.

COL Partnership

Working in collaboration with several partner institutions, COL supports advanced ICT courses leading to employment and entrepreneurship. COL has developed about 30 advanced ICT courses in different areas that are available as Open Educational Resources (OER) for anyone to use free of cost.

While increasing access to course materials is necessary, it is important to offer skills training courses to assist the learners receive appropriate support to get absorbed in the industry post training.

Partnership with Amphisoft

Considering the complexity of ICT skills training at scale, COL in partnership with Amphisoft Technologies, Chennai intends to promote job role-based skills training in the Commonwealth as a pilot project covering about 250 learners of which at least 50% shall be female. The overall objective of the programme is to assist youth in the Commonwealth improve skills and livelihoods.
